The Today Show Exposes The Risks Of The Free Mold Inspection

Molds are ubiquitous in nature, and mold spores are a common component of household and workplace dust. However, when mold spores are present in large quantities, they can present a health hazard to humans, potentially causing allergic reactions  respiratory problems an other serious conditions.

Some molds also produce mycotoxins that can pose serious health risks to humans and animals. Studies claim that exposure to high levels of mycotoxins can lead to neurological problems and in some cases death. Prolonged exposure, e.g. daily workplace exposure, may be particularly harmful. Research on the health effects of mold has not been conclusive. The term "toxic mold" refers to molds that produce mycotoxins.

It is impossible to know if you have a toxigenic mold problem or if the levels of molds are elevated in your home or building without testing.  Warning, free mold inspections do not include testing. Without testing a qualified professional cannot inform you if you have a minor mold problem or something that could be harmful or costly to repair.  Free mold inspections are usually services provided by marketing companies looking to open your wallet for expensive and many times unsupported and not required remediations. Visible molds categorized as allergenic that are not creating a significant indoor air quality problem generally are easy and inexpensive to remediate.
